Milkyway Sand Dune in Death Valley

This image is from a trip I took to Death Valley this year. I was lucky enough to get a break in the wind at Mesquite Dunes, so after sunset, I shot some milk. I suppose i'm missing the guy standing on the peak of the dune holding a lumecube.

The sky is 10 tracked and stacked images. The ground is a single exposure shot at late blue hour.

Great work! I really like the leading lines in the sand. The sky is breathtaking!

What time of year did you shoot this? I want to do a trip to Death Valley to do some Milky Way work.
