First astro photograph done with my new Samyang 12 mm f/2

Previously I was using the Sigma 19 mm f/2.8, which wasn't bad but I wanted a wider and brighter lens. Despite its darker aperture, I think my best shot of the Milky Way was done with it, I'll be posting that one in the following days

I really like this image, great job.

I've been trying to get a good shot myself for a while now but have been fighting a lot of factors. I'm using a Nikon d5500 which has a crop sensor, not necessarily bad, but it dose mean further tweaking of the numbers (lens mm, how long the shutter can stay open for, ect). But the biggest factor, for me, is all this light pollution having three 500watt led flood lights pointed at my yard for no further then 30ft away. Wish they made that 16mm f/1.4 lens for Nikon (currently for Sony and 4/3s). But I'm rambling..

Great picture. Looks like you're pointed directly at the North America Nebula.
