False Starts and a Surprise

After a couple of early mornings where Neowise had eluded me (turns out I wasn't early enough) I decided to go out at night instead. Forecast wasn't great with only a small window of opportunity where there would be a gap in the clouds so I thought I'd try messing about with a little light painting while waiting to see the comet. The gap in the clouds duly appeared but I could see no sign of Neowise with my naked eye. So I carried on with my light painting experiment only to find the little rascal had photobombed my shot! Thrilled to have finally captured Neowise it promptly disappeared behind the clouds before I had a chance of a second shot and didn't come out again. All being well I'll be out again tomorrow night with more favourable conditions

Forgot to mention that this a Bronze Age standing stone, Maen Llia, in the Brecon Beacons In South Wales.

Looks cool!

Great story and photobomb. :)

My weathers been horrible. Last night was the first semi-clear night but heavy haze settled in. Ugh..
