Star gazing in Arizona

This is my second attempt in astrophotography. What a rush it was to see my first images on my digital viewfinder. Yet I was so disappointed in not capturing the milky way! I was february 2021 in Arizona facing south to south east.
I use a nikon full frame 610 and a sigma 10-20mm f4--5.6 lens. I follow the basic suggestions for star photography, maybe sometimes a bit conservative on the ISO. this image was taken: 15 sec at f4.5
focal length 13mm ISO 3200. I has the exposure bias at -2/3 EV by mistake. (too excited )
Another thing: in spite of a large calibrated monitor my printed images looks darker, unless under bright direct light. drives me nuts!

Austin, Texas Blue Hour

Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.

Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!

Any interest in this group?

Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
