The Dainthlen bridge of Meghalaya with the milkyway core rising behind it. Light painting is done by bike's headlamp kept on for some time during the 20s exposure.

Magic always stays in the mind despite the inconveniences, especially if they are good memories.
Last Friday night was the best night I've seen in a long time, aditionally I didn't have to be anywhere the next day. Rosetta-3.2 hours M81-4.1 hours
This year I wanted to do something different during this special night.
Some clouds rolled in and ruined my star trails but I still think this came out pretty cool. I used 200 photos shot over 2 hours to make this.
Photographing the exit of the Milky Way giving prominence to this curious framing formed by an old abandoned door.
A supernova from a star estimated to be 20 times more massive than our sun. The explosion occured 10-20 thousand years ago and would have been visible during the day.
I have been playing with some new processing techniques and I think it is working. This nebula is in the Cygnus region and got its name because it resembles north america.

We vacation almost every year in upstate New York, near where my wife's family is from. I have made kind of a tradition of doing a star trail photo every year.
