Kenzie was going to be in town and reached out for a shoot. Since I hadn't met her, when she arrived we took some time just to sit and get to know each other. Her story is an amazing one. We hit it off even before we got into the studio. This is her updated headshot. I love everything about it. I hope you do to.
I hate the term "fine art" but I don't know what else exactly to call these besides just black and white.
This is not a good shot in the way we ould normally think of but I at least the got the eye dead sharp of this 5-7 day old Wood Pigeon which we have done our best to protect both parents.
I spotted this blackbird tucked among the leaves. Unlike most birds, it didn’t flinch when I raised my camera it simply stayed put, almost as if it was posing for the shot.
This is deeply meaningful to me. Surviving and blossoming despite all attempts to stop me blossoming on my own terms.
