Sensual Stone
My initial post here. Many years ago I could wander certain areas of the Colorado Plateau without having to get permits, then the permits were almost impossible to get. A BLM ranger walked into my camp once when I was camped at the trailhead for this location. I offered him a cup of coffee, which he took, and he told me that I was fortunate to have been able to see this area before it was ruined by hordes of unthinking people. He then left my camp and walked into this marvelous place. I returned a few years later when the permitting system had been initiated. He was correct. This spot, with its nearly white sandstone was marked up with black scuffs from the vibram soles of the hikers boots. And that says nothing of the intentional damaged done by unthinking fools.

That's a 'wow'-place! And puctued very well! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful place with us Nathan. Unfortunately, the world is getting smaller and as areas of beauty become accessible they are vulnerable to the tourists you describe.
That's one reason I have stopped giving out details about locations, unless the place is well known. This one is well known, unfortunately.
Welcome and Wow, what a first photograph to start with! That really needs to be seen live.
I'm really looking forward to see more of your contributions.
Thank you. More will follow.
Nice! Yeah, I'm disappointed that I never got to the place back when I spent quite a bit of time in the area.
Beautiful, Nathan!
Thank you.
