ASIAN OTTERS
I love these creatures. They are so cute. I know that in Asia, they keep them as house pets, which I'm sure we would sneer at here, but given the amount of videos I have seen of these living in houses, they seem very happy, well fed, and well cared for. They behave very much like dogs, in that they roll over for tummy scratching and similar behavior. I was very lucky to get this particular shot. My only regret is that only the larger one on the left is completely in sharp focus, while the other three are softer, but not terrible. Otherwise, I would have cropped them out and only shown the one, which really would have ruined the whole scene that I saw. They were all staring at me.
No, I don't have a huge ego, but I find that a lot of wild animals don't see me as a threat but more as a curiosity because I'm sitting in a wheelchair. Everybody else is standing up and usually looking over them, so I seem much less threatening to them. At least that is what a nature photographer told me.
