July Challenge - Minimalism A

A topic dear to my heart!

Late to the party, I admit. Taking some leave and finding more time to dedicate to photography, one way or another. These images are not new.

Glad you're getting a chance to get back into it. I've been out for quite some time now too. These are full of the "bigness" of it all and the smallness of us. I especially appreciate #2 - the way you composed it with the threatening sky over the gentleness of earth. Nice work!

Thanks, Photo Girl! I appreciate your comment about "bigness" - pretty much exactly my intent, if that's the word, or rather, half-formed thoughts at the time. I can get into quite a meditative state with the camera - one of the things I love about making photos.

I guess I should have read your posts in order...... welcome to the party Chris!

I've always enjoyed the creativity in your last shot - the dark weight of the island in the lower right providing balance to that wonderful cloud, the color of the sky and overall composition. - Just wonderful!

Thanks, Alan! It is liked by many people, rather to my surprise given its simplicity.

An invitation

Yesterday, this bird seemed to invite the sparrows to take a bath.
