so i shot bunch of photos few months ago during a school sport event, and here 2 photo that i think were the best, what do you think about the photo? i know i'm still a beginner learning, so my photos aren't perfect and still have much to improve. by the way the pics are taken with only a 18-55mm kit lens, so i can't get close, which is the reason why i shot from the side corner of the field, where the players got really close. this 2 photos were edited already, the basket ball pic have actually been posted before, but not much people giving feedback, so i thought why not re-edit it and post it again, who knows maybe more people giving feedback here
note:
finally my dad bought me a tamron tele lens recently this early december, will give it a try during an upcoming sport event in few months
Hi Nicholas. These are great sports pics. I think I have commented before. The top one in particular really tells a story. It shows the skill of the young lad trying to keep the ball in play. All eyes of spectators and players are focussed on that moment.Determination and facial expressions really come through well in both pics.I would be approaching the kids and families of those controlling the ball and saying " hey I got these really great pics of you in the game. Would you like a copy? They might pay you something and they may not but it starts to establish you as a photographer. Then word of mouth spreads around and you become a go to person for their sports coverage. It can also lead to other assignments. When I did this sort of photography for my kids sports teams it led to other assignments and also some wedding shoots. Here are a couple of links to some examples on my blog of what I did back in the day of Gridiron and Lacrosse in South Australia. It's good to note your dad has got you a tele lens. You are on the right track. Now you are at the grass roots of honing your craft.

cheers and keep up the good work.
Thank you, yes you have already commented before, appreciate your time giving some feedback;),i would like more people thoughts just in case other people might have different thoughts. I'm thinking about making money from my photos, but i guess i still have a lot to learn with taking photos and post processing, i also feel like i haven't take enough good photo. I'm taking my photography instagram account more seriously as i can post my photos as 'portofolio' and social media have such big influence nowadays
Yes you gave a lot to learn but don't underestimate yourself and work hard at personal contact and relationships with people. Social media is important but not the only way. In sports photography as long as you capture the image well in the first place there is less need for post processing. You do need to master that as well but in my opinion I sports it is not super important. It is about capturing the action and the moment. Maybe pick out some of the other sports photographers here and send a private message asking for critique.
