I was able to connect with Dai again when I was in Arizona a few weeks ago. We were in her home getting ready for a more formal portrait when I saw her in the mirror. I thought this was a better shot. I hope you like it. (scan my gallery to see if you can find our last shoot together)
This is not a good shot in the way we ould normally think of but I at least the got the eye dead sharp of this 5-7 day old Wood Pigeon which we have done our best to protect both parents.

I hate the term "fine art" but I don't know what else exactly to call these besides just black and white.
I spotted this blackbird tucked among the leaves. Unlike most birds, it didn’t flinch when I raised my camera it simply stayed put, almost as if it was posing for the shot.
This is deeply meaningful to me. Surviving and blossoming despite all attempts to stop me blossoming on my own terms.
