I was struck by the light and shadows of this scene, taken at the Dexter Family Mausoleum in historic Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. Edmund Dexter was a transplanted Englishman who made a fortune in whiskey after locating to Cincinnati. He died in 1862 during the American Civil War, and his family and heirs commissioned a mausoleum to be built in the Gothic Revival style at Spring Grove Cemetery. The Dexter family mausoleum is said to be patterned after Paris' Sainte-Chapelle.
The mausoleum was built of sandstone and unfortunately is sadly deteriorating today. However, it still affords a nice setting for photography.
Nice location. I think it is quite a bit overprocessed, especially the saturation. I think it could do well as a b&w.
