A bird I have not come across before. In my ignorance I just assumed it was a variety of Toucan.
I feel fortunate to have ben able to capture it with my lens.

Excellent! All those diagonals and curves from the massive structure and then the eye is drawn down to the splash of color that is an even more massive structure scaled down by the perspective.

Cool Photo. The only thing is that the empire state building is usually meant to be imposing. In this shot, it is kinda minimized. I don't know if you intended that but I think it is a cool take on the location.
It is still imposing as your eye will be drawn to that splash of color instead of a bigger structure in front of you. That is the reason I have highlighted that.
To answer, yes I intended to do that. :)
