Metropolis Los Angeles

Metropolis LA is a 4-tower luxury complex situated right off the 110 freeway in Downtown Los Angeles

I planned the daytime shot using PhotoPills, with the objective being to catch the sunlight falling parallel with the north face of the towers (which we're looking at in the photo).

For the twilight shot I did some scouting on Maps and found a parking garage that would give me this view of the western elevation. It's quite literally the only place to get this vantage without having a drone. One exposure for the towers, one for the sky, and one for the freeway blended in PS.

A bird I have not come across before. In my ignorance I just assumed it was a variety of Toucan.

I feel fortunate to have ben able to capture it with my lens.

I felt very fortunate to capture this beautiful bird. I have not heard of this bird before and in my ignorance assumed it was a Toucan variety.
