So I had just finished a biography on Karsh, and while I found it interesting, I really don't know that I want to get back into doing portraits. But I admire his work. He was known for placing the subject's hands in many portraits, and lighting them as carefully as their face. With that in mind, I spent a fair amount of time photographing this squirrel (I'm more into outdoor/wildlife photos right now), moving from left to right, in a big arc, trying to get a nice angle, expression, and lighting. Plus his little paws.
I don't take myself too seriously, and would like some feedback. Criticism is welcome too. A Nat Geo photographer on Instagram described the color version as "Fantastic", so I figure it can't be too bad.
Liked the way the details on its back are seen.
