I must admit I have been lax in both my shooting and posting recently, perhaps due to the fact my wife has now retired, and we are spending a LOT more time together doing various activities.
The Sun and the Moon: Edited to add last photo
I wanted to see how my 50 year old Canon FD 800mm f/5.6 s.s.c. would handle photographing both the Sun and the Moon.

detail shot looks great. i like the bottom one looks old fashioned I'm just not a fan of the sky i think if possible you should take this shot again on a clear day i think you will get a better end result but thats also a personal preference kinda thing. great detail in both.
I'm with Joseph on the second one. Plus there is a weird halo around the tower's edges. But without these 2 technicalities - great shot.

thank you. Those clouds were moving so slow it was extremely frustrating. I am going to have to go back soon now that cold weather storms are gearing up
