As a retoucher myself, the image doesn't look that bad.. However, it does look like you tried to retouch the sclera of the eyes, and you really need to be careful with that kind of thing.

It looks like you covered the sclera of the eye with just a straight white brush, and that doesn't really work because if you look at an actual human eye, it's round. So when looking at a photo of a human eye, it has to depict that. I would recommend that you go back into the photo with a low opacity/low flow brush set to a grey tone, and paint in some shadow of the sclera manually, just to give that eyeball some actual depth.

Another way (which is probably much easier) is to set a hue saturation layer with everything masked except the eyeballs, and just desaturate (not completely) the red channel. So the small veins in the eyes will still be there, which makes the eye look real, but the red won't be so prominent because of the slight desaturation.

Good luck. :)

I don't have Patrick's reouching experience but I agree with all he says. The eyes are what we notice first about most headshots and we are very sensitive to things that are wrong with them. And in your shot the eye brows are very very strong, which further draws our eyes to her eyes. In fact, to me, her eye brows don't look right, being so dark, strong and having such a geometrical outline. Just make-up I guess, but still not rigt, to me. I suspect however, this is a young person fashion thing, so not a matter of right or wrong just la mode.

All that said, she looks lovely so you can't be too far off the mark. Well done.
