Recent shots - Bmx and Skateboarding

I have been seeing some great critiques in this group lately so I figured it would be the best place to share my favorite shots from the last few months. I have noticed I can often get too caught up in the what trick the rider is doing or how cool of a spot we found so it is great to hear feedback from people with an outside perspective.

Alright I don't have much time now, but here goes. The second shot is cool and shows the lifestyle, but the blur in the foreground is distracting. Maybe if it was a guy slightly more distinguished holding a board it would be cool. The first one on my opinion is too much dead space. The third i really like a lot. The fourth is the right timing, but the setting just isn't doing it for me. The fifth is cool, more detailed comment on your page, the last i really like, but getting lower would have eliminated the cars, removing the distraction and would have also added drama and action to it more. Thanks for these pictures, many are really good! Keep posting them, i love seeing them!
Cheers

Thank you again Tyler, I appreciate you took the time to write about every photo. I'm very excited to get out and shoot more photos now.

Yay! Glad i can help inspire someone!

I really like dem photos, they look more like documented reality more than action shots :)

Thank you for the kind words Fele.
I don't think you ment it in a negative way, but I will have to try and shoot more of an action style shot.

try using a wider lense and getting close to the action ;) ;)

I have few shots with my fisheye but now it needs pretty much perfect lighting conditions because of all the damage it gets from filming there sports. One day I would like to get a nice sharp wide angle but it is just not in the budget right now.

rent a 10 or a 20mm. you'll have lots of fun

I think they are all shot really well, with a few minor tweaks, and a strobe, would really make these exceptional. Keep it up!

Thank you Jeremy, I think you are right, it might be time for me to get some flashes.
