The Myth of Daedalus and Icarus in Photos

Photo 1: Daedalus and his son Icarus escape imprisonment by using homemade wings.

Photo 2: Daedalus told Icarus to fly a middle course. He warned him that flying too low would soak the wings in sea mist, while flying too high would melt the wax with the sun's heat.

Photo 3: Icarus grew too excited and arrogant. He flew too close to the sun, the wax melted, and he fell into the sea and drowned.
