Caught this guy by the lake in my community in Venice, Fla, we have a pretty good eagle and hawk population down here which surprised me coming from NY. What a fantastic bird though, and wow when he opens his wings to fly he is huge.

This was originally a shot with my Hasselblad of a bright blue shy and a very white cloud plus some trees. I had to shoot higher in order to avoid acrs and people.

I must admit I have been lax in both my shooting and posting recently, perhaps due to the fact my wife has now retired, and we are spending a LOT more time together doing various activities.

Awesome shot, Christopher! That eagle looks majestic by the lake, those wings must be epic in flight! I’d love to see a video of one soaring over Venice. Are you using a telephoto lens to catch these guys? Keep sharing, this is wild! 🦅
Thank you Oliver, I used a 70 - 200 lens for this and it was about 50 yards from me.
