Eva's mother is a local makeup artist I've worked with many times. She told me her daughter would like to get into modeling and asked if I'd have her over for a photoshoot. Eva was a natural and had some of the most expressive eyes I've ever seen. See for yourself!

I held a lighting workshop recently. Sterling was the model. I rarely shoot silhouettes but I wanted to incorporate that arch into a shot. Backlighting became an obvious choice.
I must admit I have been lax in both my shooting and posting recently, perhaps due to the fact my wife has now retired, and we are spending a LOT more time together doing various activities.
I wanted to see how my 50 year old Canon FD 800mm f/5.6 s.s.c. would handle photographing both the Sun and the Moon.

i love the photo. but, if the purpose was to show what beautiful eyes she has, they could have been lit more evenly and brighter. And the narrative depressed me. What did you tell her before this shot?
agreed. This was part of a 3-look set. We did several "vibes". This was the soft/somber vibe.
