Beginning Headshot Photography

Hello! I'm just beginning to get into Headshot photography and have been into photography in general for about 8 months. I aim to eventually open a small headshot and portrait business from my apartment. I have a lot to learn before I can start business however, especially regarding lighting, and would greatly appreciate advice on an affordable lighting setup and backdrop to get started! This was one of my first attempts at a self portrait done using a Canon 6D, Canon EF 50mm 1.4, and natural window light.
