Light trails and a comet

I thought I would have a hard time finding the comet in the St. Louis light pollution, which turned out to be wrong. So I drove a short distance along US Highway 44 West looking for a darker sky. I decided to try combining the comet with light trails for a unique image.
The second night I tried again from my front yard with a 300mm lens. To my surprise I managed a decent image if rather uninteresting.
The first was with my canon r5…f5.6.. 15 second shutter and 100 iso.
The second image was with my canon r5 mark ii… 100mm to 500mm shot at 300mm… 2 second shutter… 1600 iso

Especially the first one looks really nice, with the highway in the forground and a bit of color in the lower part of the skies :)

A Very Challenging Photo

Sometimes a bit of luck is all you need.

When/Where: On August 7, 2026 at the Abbotsford International Airshow during the Friday afternoon/evening Twilight Show.

Tiny Visitor

I was recently back in the woods trying to take some wildlife photos. Sadly, I barely came across any birds that day and whenever I did, they were gone before I could even focus on them.
