Between Day and Night

This is from this past summer on Sleepy Hollow Lake in Athens, New York. I have a star trail image and a sunset image that are basically this same composition.

I decided to try experimenting with doing a little bit of a time blend with the photos that I have. My goal here was to have the sunset fade into kind of a blue hour and then fade into the night sky.

I really enjoy doing these kind of "time blend" type shots. I've seen similar type work from Peter Lik and others. Not comparing my work to his, just drawing inspiration from his.
