Crystal Knob

I was going to do a stack of this antique doorknob over a hand held light. But I liked this individual frame because the outer facets were visible but softer

Beautiful, Steven! I agree with you on this frame.

These are so fascinating to me. Very nice.

We lived in our previous home (built 1935) for a quarter-century was full of crystal knobs. I never once thought of photographing them.

You could have gone either way on focus stacking and you wouldn't be wrong.. same as choosing Color or B&W.

I've tried capturing the light from them a few different ways. They throw off some colorful reflections at the right time of day too. But for this one I was aiming for internal structure

Cool. Now, I'm looking into the reflections trying to see what they are. Blowing it up, looking closely, I think I see a room with a desk and a window.

Yup, big antique desk and many windows! Some of the colors comes from a warm mission style pattern rug too

Austin, Texas Blue Hour

Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.

Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!

Two from Tenerife

My two favourite images from my recent night time adventure in Tenerife. Foregrounds and skies were shot separately and blended in PS.

Any interest in this group?

Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
