Modified $13.99 Holga Lens

Another weekend adventure with the Holga lens and the Photo Merge tool in Lightroom.

On Friday the first shot is a 3-shot horizontal panorama, just outside the motel room (standing on a picnic table) As it started raining I decided to cut the session short as the lens does not have a weather seal.

We went for a walk on Valentines Day and I captured this 15-shot horizonal merge.

And Sunday I captured a 12-shot horizonal merge. I like to keep with the theme of Black and White with the Holga, but I had to include the color version as well.

I think with stacking multiple images on a high megapixel camera it improves the appearance over a single shot.

Gorgeous photos, Dean! Everything feels just right in the first two. I like the color version of the merry-go-round over the black & white. Of course the b&w does tell a sad story of loneliness if you want to look at it from that perspective, but even with that, I think the color does a better job. Nice work! Hope you had a great time!

These work for me Dean. There is a refreshing softness in the images that helps create atmosphere. I think the color shot works best in the last set as carousels are all bout fun and vibrance - a case of horses for courses you might say :-)
