New blog post - Introduction to ICM

I have typically held off on developing fundamental guides to ICM on my website.
This has been primarily as I feel the basics are pretty much available anywhere, and that the value I bring has been in sharing my experiences in techniques that are not well serviced otherwise.

However, after reviewing feedback after presenting ICM to a few camera clubs now I feel a need to provide a more well-rounded, or complete account of what I have discovered on my journey.

So....... if anyone is interested I have started detailing what I basically present to camera clubs in blog form. This will be a series of blogs, starting with what I see as key essential understanding when beginning, then moving through the gears into subjects, techniques and finishing up with a deconstruction (the why and how) of some of my own personal favorites.

No problem at all if ICM is not your thing, but if it is and you want to gain my own perspectives on the genre check it out.

The first episode is pretty basic, providing just a quick overview. the second will be available next week.

This is a great start, Alan. I appreciate you doing these on your website because I often share your ICM and ITR links with others. I think this series is off to an excellent start, and shareable as well. Thank you for taking the time to put it all in words.

I appreciate that PG. After giving talks to camera clubs I felt a need to make the information on my site more well rounded.
Hopefully others will see benefit. If not, it has been a fun exercise in getting all my thoughts in order.

Thank you Mr. Brown, I will be checking it out.

Your post finally made it to my notification list.

Thanks Dean, I think the site continues to have issues since the upgrade - my alerts and portfolio continue to be messed up.

On the blog front, I hope to get another episode completed in the next few days.

Austin, Texas Blue Hour

Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.

Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!

Two from Tenerife

My two favourite images from my recent night time adventure in Tenerife. Foregrounds and skies were shot separately and blended in PS.

Any interest in this group?

Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
