Usually, a 85mm prime lens is my first choice for nearly every portrait. Since I got the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art lens I try to use this lens at least for one set in every portrait photo shot.
This one was done with the lovely Medea. Window lighting at f/1.4.
Beautiful
Thanks so much Lee.
Works for me! Nice work
Many thanks Stuart.
Hi Tobias, I took delivery of my Sigma 35mm ART today, and an 85mm for that matter. Much like in your article, 35mm is something I want to enjoy. Anyway, I keenly attached the ART lens, and then this. These images were taken at different apertures, and it saddens me that my shiny new 35mm is defective :( Have you ever seen anything like this before?
[SOLVED] For any of you who get a Sigma ART 35mm lens, and see this issue, it is resolved by turning off 'peripheral illumination correction' under the lens aberration correction settings.
I think, it depends on the Camera. This option works on my both Camera just for Nikkor lenses, not with 3rd party lenses.
A friend of mine has generally trouble on his EOS 80D with SIGMA lenses (this is a known poroblem by SIGMA and they working on a fix).
Thanks for the advise.
it makes me rethink about a 35mm Beautiful image well used lense
I still love my 85mm Prime, but the Sigma is very close to it.
Really beautiful portrait, it makes me thing more about using wider lenses for portraits
Love the soft light and how the light fall off is.
one good thing on the 35mm Primes (or bad thing, it's up to you) is the big fall off at the edges on full frame.
very nice image! I'm the same as you, I was always shooting portraits with my 105 2.0 DC and I recently purchased a 28mm Nikon lens and I learn to shoot with it :D
Woah! I picked up a Canon 35MM 2.0 recently for night club work and for video, but I must say I will definitely be finding other ways to use it! Nice work! Generally I've been using a 50MM 1.4 but I do like the wider approach to this image :)
Excellent Photo Tobias!
Ich habe gerade Ihre Website und alle Bilder, die ich gesehen habe, sind wirklich schön.
