Photographers and videographers know how expensive specialized gear can be, and they can be quite the resourceful bunch when it comes to finding tricks and hacks to get the shot without dropping thousands of dollars, even if it involves a little butter. And remember, if the butter is too cold, it might not slide as well. Try heating the bottom of it ever so slightly to decrease the friction, and you should see better results. Also, I'm honestly not sure if camera warranties generally cover butter damage. It's probably best to check yours before you attempt that trick.
