Coming to you from Mike Smith, this awesome video tutorial will give you an introduction to photographing waterfalls. Waterfalls can make for a great subject, but one thing to remember is that you do not need to seek out massive examples to create dramatic photos. Even waterfalls that are just a few feet tall can be made compelling if you are careful about your perspective. A wide angle lens shot close to the waterfall itself can greatly exaggerate its size. I have even jumped into the river with my tripod before, and it can be an excellent way to compose an eye-catching shot (of course, exercise proper caution whenever you are working in moving water). Check out the video above for the full rundown from Smith.
