Helpful Advice for Better Landscape Photos

There are a lot of approaches to landscape photography, and each offers different benefits and drawbacks and places different demands on your time, effort, creative vision, and technique. If you would like to improve your landscape images, check out this fantastic video tutorial that will walk you through a few shots and offer some great tips and advice along the way.

Coming to you from Henry Turner, this awesome video tutorial offers some helpful advice for taking better landscape photos. One thing Turner discusses that I think is particularly salient is how beneficial it can be to previsualize how you want the finished image to look. There is nothing wrong with framing up a nice composition and seeing where the edit takes you later on, but knowing the shot you have in mind before you shoot it can help you make more informed decisions about settings, framing, perspective, and more. And the better you get at this, the better you will become at recognizing the potential of different scenes. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Turner.
