A Helpful Approach for Better Landscape Photos

One of the beautiful things about landscape photography is that there are so many ways to approach how you create images. If you are working on your own approach, check out this great video tutorial that features an experienced landscape photographer discussing an effective approach for the genre.

Coming to you from Dave Morrow, this excellent video discusses the "engineer's mindset" as an approach for landscape photography. In a genre that requires a complex confluence of technical skill, creative vision, cooperation of light and conditions, and more, being able to break down the individual elements and examine and improve them is really crucial. And it is not just about improving the quality of your work, but the efficiency as well. Landscape photography often requires a lot of planning in advance to get the best results and a lot of (literal) legwork to get to a location, get set up, and prepare for a shot, so anything you can do to make your life easier is worth it. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Morrow.
