How to Get Ready for Fall Photography

We are nearing the end of summer, and as fall approaches, there will be numerous opportunities to capture vivid swaths of color as the leaves change. This excellent video tutorial features a seasoned landscape photographer discussing his process of scouting and planning autumn photography along with some helpful composition tips.

Coming to you from Nigel Danson, this great video tutorial discusses approaches to fall photography and offers some woodland composition tips as well. Fall is a fantastic time to get out with your camera and build your portfolio, but it is often a frustratingly short period of maximum color, particularly if the weather is not optimal and causes the leaves to fall early or does not provide optimal light a lot of days. As such, it is really important to plan out how you will shoot the fall in advance. And if you have a drone, don't forget to take it out too; the patterns of color can be absolutely stunning from above! Check out the video above for the full rundown from Danson.
