Why You Should Embrace Inclement Weather in Landscape Photography

Few people enjoy standing in the middle of rain and wind, but for those who are willing to do it, the reward can be particularly interesting and compelling images. This excellent video tutorial will show you why weather that would make most people run inside is actually a fantastic opportunity for great landscape images.

Coming to you from Perea Photography, this awesome video will show you why bad weather can make for great landscape photos. If you look at a lot of popular landscape images, you will probably notice golden light and fair skies, and certainly, there is nothing wrong with that, but on the other hand, it makes it difficult to distinguish yourself. Photographing in less ideal conditions can help distinguish your work simply by virtue of its relative scarcity, and that sort of weather can add a wonderful sense of mood and drama to your photos. Of course, just be sure you are being safe in such weather (in particular, watch out for lightning and flooding). Check out the video above for the full rundown from Perea.
