Venus Laowa, a lens manufacturer known for their off-beat collection of manual focus lenses has launched a series of free live stream events on its Facebook page called "Meeting Masters." For the rest of the year, the company will be hosting photographers from all over the world to cover various topics related to photography using Laowa's collection of lenses.
Laowa began as a designer and maker of ultra-low distortion lenses under the moniker of "Zero-D" and has continued to expand the lineup while adding macro lenses and, as we see on rumor sites everywhere, will soon have a collection of ultra-fast aperture lenses as well. Look out for the announcement of the long-rumored CF 33mm f/0.95 for crop bodies soon. In the meantime, though, Laowa is offering free education that we can all take advantage of. Of course, photography itself doesn't revolve around a specific lens, so the lessons to be learned will be universal.
Throughout April and May, the topics will focus on macro photography, macro video, and macro critique. According to Laowa, topics covered over the rest of the year will include landscape photography and working with M43 cameras. With every live stream, Laowa will also be giving out promotional codes for their site during the live streams.

The videos are also available on their YouTube channel if you avoid fb like the plague 😉
