Today I’m bringing a photograph that has been living in my mind for a long time — a place close to home that I find absolutely spectacular, a true paradise of rock textures inside the Xeoparque Cabo Ortegal, in the Concello de Valdoviño.
This extreme panoramic, almost 360º, bends and twists the rock formations, creating surreal shapes while guiding the viewer’s eye toward the Punta Frouxeira Lighthouse, framed right at the center of the composition. It looks a bit small in the distance, maybe taking away a bit of its natural grandeur, but the overall scene still feels undeniably epic.
It was an unexpected visit. We were coming from an autumn trip straight from O Caurel, and seeing that the sky was about to burst with color, we changed plans on the fly. Instead of heading home, we decided to chase one last sunset to wrap up this short photography getaway.
And the sky delivered — it burned with color and gave us an unforgettable evening.
