The winter in kashimpur.

Kashimpur, a small village in the Jessore district of Bangladesh, transforms into a magical landscape every winter. Wrapped in dense morning fog, the village awakens to one of its oldest seasonal traditions—the harvesting and boiling of fresh date palm sap to make liquid jaggery.During a winter journey to Kashimpur, I came across this evocative scene: an elderly villager sitting beside steaming pots of wild date juice, quietly watching farmers cycle past on their way to the fields. As the sweet aroma drifted through the mist, the moment felt timeless—a gentle reflection of rural life, tradition, and the enduring rhythm of the Bangladeshi countryside. This photograph captures not only a winter morning but also a fading heritage that continues to warm village life generation after generation.
