Tired Wheels, Resting Soul.

Dhaka is renowned for its rickshaws, one of the most accessible and familiar ways to navigate the city’s narrow, bustling streets. Yet behind this simple mode of transport lies one of the most physically demanding professions—being a rickshaw puller. Many climate migrants come to Dhaka and take up this work, despite its relentless hardship, as a means of survival.
On a hot and humid day, while returning from the office, I came across a striking moment—a rickshaw puller, exhausted after a long day of labor, had fallen into a deep sleep on his rickshaw. It was a quiet, powerful reflection of fatigue, resilience, and the unseen struggles woven into the rhythm of the city.
