After a two-year pause due to COVID-19, the gathering resumed in 2023, drawing more than two million devotees, including over 6,000 international visitors from 66 countries, to the banks of the Turag River near Tongi.Bangladesh Railway operated 21 special trains, yet the demand far exceeded capacity. As the final prayer ended, waves of worshippers rushed toward the station in a massive crowd. Amid this vast human tide, I captured a fleeting scene where figures seemed to dissolve into light and motion—evoking a sense of spiritual transcendence.The photograph reflects the immense faith, devotion, and collective energy that filled the air that day.
