I almost deleted this, and then I thought I could try out some new editing skills to see if I could get the owl isolated.
I was at the Raptor Foundation and watching the display. As soon as this one started to move, the people in front of me stood up and almost completely blocked my view of this bird. When I looked at the original, all I could see was a sea of heads, and this bird was squished in the middle of them. I didn't think it could be rescued.
As you can see, it could be rescued, and I am very pleased with this particular photograph because of how I managed to rescue it. Of course, it's tack sharp, particularly around its eye, so I'm really glad I didn't bin it.
