Asturias isn't typically known for clear sunrises or sunsets; around here, overcast skies and stormy weather are the norm. But when everything lines up and the sun breaks through the horizon, it gives you some incredible colors.
Getting down to the base of the Peñón de Frexulfe (Navia) isn't exactly a walk in the park. I know plenty of people who won't even risk heading down, though if you take your time and watch your step, you can make it fine. Being down there at first light, watching the sunrise while the waves crash around your feet and soak both you and your gear—that's the kind of experience money can't buy.
