The incredible Aldayafoss

This dramatic waterfall, a little off the beaten track in Iceland's northern highlands, is certainly worth the effort of a visit! The beautiful basalt columns contrast elegantly against the white waters of the fall. It was certainly my favourite (of many) waterfalls visited in Iceland.
