This morning VSCO finally added the long overdue, batch editing feature in the VSCO Cam 4.1 release. Available to download now from the Android and iOS markets. Along with adding Copy + Paste, they have also added the undo feature into the edit mode.
As a Lightroom user that constantly makes use of batch editing, this feature has been missing for far too long in the popular photo editing app. I use VSCO Cam for nearly every photo I post from my iPhone, so to me this feature is huge, especially when coupled with the recently added Journal. It was hard to find time to individually edit a bunch of photos to make a Journal post that was cohesive. The process for batch editing your photos is almost as simple as control + c, control + v.
Select the photo you wish to copy the edit from and then press the copy + paste button to copy the “edit stack”
Select the images you wish to apply the batch preset to and tap the copy + paste button again. This time you need to tap the paste edit in the contextual menu that displays
The images begin to sync and the processing all matches
Here is VSCO's tutorial video as well.

Finally! This is a huge jump for mobile shooters like myself and a great way to save time while editing on the go for clients/campaigns. Bring on the custom presets! Ha
Now I wish there was a way to share the edits like with Mextures!
Finally.
But have they fixed the problem they created for all users with iPhones that can't update to IOS8, specifically iPhone 4 users?
Ever since they updated the app, iPhone 4 users are locked out of accessing the add-ons we've already paid for. I asked about the problem of not being able to install IOS8 and be able to install my add-on's, and their advice was to install IOS8... seriously.
At the moment, they have locked out users who have bought a large number of add-ons, I'm pretty sure that's called theft, as they have made all available to IOS8 users.
Any ideas as they haven't responded in any for to my, and others requests for this problem to be fixed...
Its a hardware limitation this happens to creatives nothing new. Eventually you have to upgrade your hardware to work with newer software. There gets to a point where consumers have to be responsible and accountable when i comes to what we expect from companies
The problem is that I use the last version that will install (Apple lets me do that), so far so good.
At issue is that VSCO won't allow access to the add-ones that work perfectly well with that version, the same one that was available the day before they updated to the IOS8 version.
No recoding needed, no updating hardware, just allow the older version to access the older add-ons.
Nothing fancy, nothing difficult, I under stand the need to update hardware, but this isn't one of those times, the older version works fine, they just won't allow access to the already paid for add-ons.
Fair enough that would be annoying
