The Fstoppers community is brimming with creative vision and talent. Every day, we comb through your work, looking for images to feature as the Photo of the Day or simply to admire your creativity and technical prowess. In 2018, we're featuring a new photographer every month, whose portfolio represents both stellar photographic achievement and a high level of involvement within the Fstoppers community.
This month's winner is Naoki Fujihara! His work is notable for its strong compositions and unique renderings of the modern world. Be sure to check out our favorite shots of his below and give him a follow to see his full portfolio. Fujihara is now in the running for Fstoppers Community Photographer of the Year!
How to Be Chosen
Remember, in 2018, we'll be featuring a photographer chosen from the community every month. At the end of the year, the Fstoppers Community Photographer of the Year will be chosen from the 12 monthly winners, with the overall winner getting a tutorial of their choice from the Fstoppers store. Check out the rules to be chosen:
- You must have uploaded an image to your portfolio in the past 30 days to be selected.
- For the year-end award, you must have remained active in the Fstoppers community by uploading an image at least once every 60 days.

Wonderful images!
Thank you Maxal!
Great work. Reminds me of Joel Tjintjelaar and his amazing work. Would like to see some more brighter highlights and the really interesting parts/subjects of the photos.
Thank you Jens. Yes, I learned how to shoot and process photos from Joel Tjintjelaar.
Very nice work, indeed!
Thank you David!
This is some of the most interesting/inspiring architecture photography I have seen. Beautiful work!
Thank you Dakota!
I'm torn on this one because although his work is undoubtedly beautiful and technically superlative (I'm into the BW architecture stuff a' la Joel or Julia Anna and know very well the pain of pixel level selections and gradient after gradients, luminosity masks etc.), I am struggling to get excited. Unlike what others mentioned, I think that most Fine Art Architecture photographers are going for the same look. I might be wrong but once you nail the smooth midtones, you learn that there should be very little or nothing in the extreme range (i.e. pure whites and blacks), you master the use of gradients, the stylized fake clouds using Motion or Path blur, heavy vignetting, spotlighting in PS or using Viveza, almost anybody can get the 'Fine Art' look. With this, I don't want to diminish Naoki's work as it's without any doubt beautiful
Here you talk about talents that I can only dream of. His pictures are absolutely amazing!
Thank you Carl!
