This was something I wanted to shoot for awhile but never really had the chance (or motivation) to go out with a model to shoot this. Thankfully the lovely Lindsay here was alright with the idea and was more then willing to help. So with the help of my friend and coworker Matt the 3 of us went out to this small little pond this morning to shoot this photo. Matt and I ventured out onto the ice to make sure it was alright and once we saw it was fine I got Matt on ice duty and got him to start hacking chunks of ice for me. So as Matt was getting the ice ready I was busy getting some hot chocolate warmed up, and I also set up the camera and starting getting the scene ready before we dragged Lindsay out of the warm car and onto the ice. Thankfully once everything was prepared we quickly shot for maybe a minute or two at most, got Lindsay to quickly warm up in the car as I reviewed the shots to see if we needed to go again. Unfortunately we did so she came back out after a few minutes of warming up to do it all again. After that I quickly reviewed the shots and I liked what we got and decided to call it a warp!
Also fun fact, this photo won me a contest from Canon Canada (the contest was only available to Canon Dealers in Canada [I work in a camera store])
