Ive been taking portraits of myself for a very long time and they have become intensely intwined with my own sense of identity and self worth.
When I am feeling great about myself, i take photos. when I am feeling bad about myself, I take photos.
Sometimes I use costumes and make-up and props as a form of escapism, and sometimes I like to strip down and confront myself with a very bare subject.
Beautiful picture Jessica! Do you have access to a vintage camera (like a 8x10 old school camera) with an old tripod with an old shutter release trigger? Just a thought.
