I have been asked to talk to a group of photographers, I choose as my subject 'Creative self portraits' but as I sat down to plan my talk I started to feel exceptionally guilty that I had chosen this topic as last year I hadn't been practising that specific type of portraiture.
I decide to get off my lazy ass and pulled the camera out of the cupboard, without distracting my self with make-up or wigs and costumes, using natural light from a window in my living room I made this.
Last year was full of so many wonderfull things, I was really, really busy. But I wasn't working on my personal art and that had a huge impact on my sense of self worth, the creative flow stopped and my insecurity demon had loud nasty voice.
2019.... I am looking forward to rekindling the creative flow and making portraits again.
