I must admit that this image is a bit of a trophy shot. Who doesn't love the sight of the morning sun casting shadows through a forest?
The occasion came down to sheer luck, driving home one morning to try and get to work on time. There are some things for which work can wait an extra half hour though.
I caught sight of the hillside covered in birch trees with the rays of the sun glancing through and the rest was just a simple matter of getting into position for a clear shot.
I was excited to get these shots home and look at them on the big screen but I must say that the depth of contrast exceeded my wildest dreams. It came out as a real fairytale.
