Longs Peak and Flatirons

This view is very common if you live are have taken a trip to Colorado. I have been driving this vista and wanting to shoot finally stopped on a freezing frosty morning with clear skies. Was planning to leave as I was getting frostbitten fingers and operating my tripod and head felt like my fingers going to break. As the sun was just below the horizon started to see the pink reddish glow in the sky and fired away some shots. That explains the term colorful Colorado used by locals here. Never leave before sunrise thinking no clouds equals no color, never leave immediately after sunset wait few more minutes. In this case I'm glad I did, hope you enjoy too.
