Invaders

It's believed, the recent warm water events off the coast of California have contributed to the appearance of these red pelagic crabs that are typically found further south in Mexican waters.

They were so numerous that, at certain points in my dive, I couldn't see the sand. It's a little weird to laugh underwater through your regulator, but these tuna crabs were so much fun that I couldn't help it.

As soon as I would stop moving, they would all slowly start moving back toward me until they were climbing over me, and pinching at my dome port.
